Tarboro Life

Businesses & Orgs

Owning a business means putting up the capital and running the books — not clocking in yourself. Buy a commercial property, register what it is, and it starts generating its own economy: staff, payroll, and a shared fund that's genuinely yours to manage.

In Development

Currently Registered

Player-owned businesses, pulled directly from the live server — not a mockup.

Nine Types, One Registration Flow

Buying the property and declaring what it is are two separate steps. Picking Illegal opens two more menus instead of one.

Public, Not Owner-Only

The Mining Depot

The one storefront mechanic that isn't gated to staff — any player can walk up to a registered Mining business and sell raw gathered materials (ore, coal, scrap, lumber, and more) straight to its depot. Payment draws from the business's own fund, so the owner needs real capital behind it to keep buying, and every sale is a genuine transaction between two players, not a system tap.

Running It

📱

Biz Manager

The phone app for owners — dashboard, staff roster, hire/fire, set grades and wages, and review applicants who applied through LinkedUp.

💰

Society Funds

Every business has its own shared bank. Deposit, withdraw, and payroll pays staff automatically on a real timer — as long as the fund can actually cover it.

NPC Storefronts

Not player-owned — these are fixed vendor stations that already exist in the world regardless of anyone's economy, the shops you go to before you have a business of your own.

YouTool Hardware

Textile City (downtown LS) and Grand Senora Desert. Tools, gathering and fabrication gear.

Salvage Dealer

Sandy Shores industrial strip. Gun parts, scrap, precursor chemicals, hacking gear, theft tools.

Pharmacy

Pillbox Hill and Sandy Shores. Bandages, splints, oxy, first aid kits.

24/7 Supermarket

10 real-world locations across the map. Food, drink, and everyday household items.

Auto Parts Counter

Los Santos Customs. Vehicle safety upgrade kits.

On the Stock Market

Eight parody companies, publicly traded and player-tradeable through the phone's Stocks app. Prices drift on their own and get real nudges from gameplay — this is fictional in-world capital, not a business anyone owns directly.
